Totes in T-Minus 13 Days!

Hey Everybody!

I hope everyone is doing well! Things are getting happy over here as we are getting close to this deadline and things are looking great.

I was off work last week so I didn't have the opportunity to pick up any donations. I got in this morning and shortly after that I decided to go check the donations box. Imagine my elation when I found 17 bags waiting for me! 17! I showed them off to my coworkers immediately then stored them away till this evening. I was especially ecstatic about this bundle because this bumped me over my goal of 100 bags! I now have 114 bags! I'm practically giddy! I have met my goal and you all helped me get there! BUT! Don't let this temper your enthusiasm or your desire to donate bags. Let's see how many bags we can get up to by June 1st! I'll be sewing more and passing out more fabric. I know other people have promised me that they are in the process of making bags so I know I'll be getting more. Let's hit it out of the park and aim for really high numbers. Here they are!

Now, that I'm expected to be well over 100 bags I need to purchase more items to go inside them. So second only to bags I need monetary donations. I have a small amount left but I don't think it will get me enough items. If you're feeling generous write me a check and send it to:

If you'd feel more comfortable sending a gift card I buy the lotion at Target. Or if you'd like to actually buy the product and send it to me here is the link to the travel size lotions I buy. They are only $0.97.

I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! All the generosity has been wonderful! Keep up the good work!

Tote Bag Update 5-5-14

Hi Everyone!

Things are coming right along! I wanted to post an update and remind everyone that we have less than a month left till the June 1st deadline!

I got an exciting package today. I was expecting it but forgot that it was coming. I couldn't stop grinning! I opened it up and there were 16 beautiful tote bags inside with a sweet card. A wonderful lady in Texas made them all and sent them to me. She mentions me in her quilting blog here.

I laid out all the bags I have and counted them up. We have 67 total!! We are closing in on our goal but I would LOVE to exceed 100 bags! I have passed out fabric that was donated to people willing to sew bags and look forward to the finished product.

We have pretty much everything to fill the bags minus treats. If we get enough monetary donations we'll buy individually wrapped chocolates or candies last thing before we deliver them.

We are filling water bottles with gifts for the male patients. We have almost enough to fill them. Can't wait to deliver all these gifts!

Please keep all the donations coming!

The package!
